This post shares the progress we have made overseeing renovations and delivering much-needed rehabilitation equipment in Tiachiv city, in Ukraine. This location presents unique challenges and opportunities, but the goal remains the same—providing accessible, quality care to those who have sacrificed so much.

This hospital is one of six key clinics in the area, (Transkarpattia), and as Direct Aid for Ukraine, we have pledged to support its rehabilitation services by providing essential equipment. The new wing of the hospital is scheduled to open early next year. It is fully prepared, with all the necessary equipment already delivered and ready for use.

The building we assessed stood neglected, other parts of the hospital's old unsafe buildings in the process of being demolished, creating space for completely new projects. It holds the potential to become a vital rehabilitation wing for children facing physical challenges and could also incorporate a new wing for child mental help and therapy.

Direct Aid mission comes to Velika Dobrony, to the Good Samaritan Children's Home. We had a day of fun, building Ikea furniture together with locals, and watched the little boys smiling, taking over their new home.

This article is to outline how our next visit to Ukraine is planned. Visiting a rehabilitation unit, delivering aid to Munkachevo pediatric hospital - cancer department-, delivering military aid for the heroes (lady soldiers this time too), and join a local community to build a children's center.

Reporting from Ukraine, as Direct Aid mission delivers minibuses to organizations. Also visited the Uzzhorod regional clinic to hear more about their plans for renovating the rehab department.
