Visiting "Rakhiv District Hospital of the Rakhiv City Council of the Transcarpathian Region" revealed both the challenges and the promising progress in healthcare for this community. Local support to complete the renovations of the OUTPATIENT space made it possible for us to bring in equipment to help create this service. This post shares insights from our visit, the current situation, and the steps ahead.

The building we assessed stood neglected, other parts of the hospital's old unsafe buildings in the process of being demolished, creating space for completely new projects. It holds the potential to become a vital rehabilitation wing for children facing physical challenges and could also incorporate a new wing for child mental help and therapy.

Direct Aid for Ukraine team was invited to help furnish a community hall, at the village of Haranglab, in Ukraine. This is a heart warming nice project, showcasing how we can help build a community by creating a welcoming space for all ages.

This was the first day of our Direct Aid 2024 September mission. We spent the day traveling to Ukraine, and arriving to Csongor, a local community we helped to renovate the kindergarten and provided a power generator to heat the local school of 200 kids.

This article is to outline how our next visit to Ukraine is planned. Visiting a rehabilitation unit, delivering aid to Munkachevo pediatric hospital - cancer department-, delivering military aid for the heroes (lady soldiers this time too), and join a local community to build a children's center.
