We all meet at the Pampas Restaurant to have a chat, get to know each other, and answer any questions that arise.

SURPRISE GUEST TO ARRIVE
We have someone special joining us tonight. Someone with deep insight into the state of the country (Ukraine) and the aid it needs at this stage. We will have a chance to discuss how our charity projects have helped in the past, and share some initial ideas on how we can continue. This conversation on aid projects might cover all four fields we work with:
- Community
- Humanitarian
- Rehabilitation, Healthcare
- Military

Children's Elf and pajamas party at Nagydobrony Children's Home

Balázs Trautmann, founder of Kárpátaljai Sárkányellátó Alapítvány ("Carpathian Dragon Feeder Foundation), has kindly offered to join us and help the team get to Ukraine to visit our key projects. He will be with us for the duration of a 3-day program, travelling across the regions of Transkarpattia.

5.00 PM - 5.40 PM Event set up
The team will be welcomed by Andrea Katko (Director) and Knot Jurjen (Manager, from The Netherlands). On arrival, a light snack lunch will be provided by the children's home.
In the main central hall, we are to set up a magic back wall, gift stations, carpets, and decor for the evening. Also, to set up music, a giant screen, and a projector for the evening movie.
The plan is to have 3 gift stations prepared for our guests and our team to hand over the boxes. 175 boxes to be shared amongst the stations. Local staff will be aware of which rooms to guide to which station. Kids will receive the gifts simultaneously, creating a funny and friendly chaos for the kids, exactly like in a "toy factory" surrounded by Elfs.
Station one: We invited the Governor, Myroslav Biletskyi to join us for this part of the program. We are truly honoured that he accepted our invitation. He will be joined by Alex Davern, and Andrea Katko (from the house )
Station two: Mr Jeroen van Rotterdam and Knot Jurjen (from the house ) will be heading up this station
Station three: The local Mayor of Nagydobrony micro region, Mr Ferenc Nagy, and András Baksa (mayor of Chomony) will be heading up this station
All guest and staff is asked to dress in Elf T-shirts and funny hats, as this event is for the children, to bring some fun and laughter to their lives. Everyone will be provided with accessories to dress for the party.

5.40 PM - 6 PM After having completed the event setup, we will visit the newly finished little boys' rooms. A project we completed earlier this year, thanks to the generous support of Jeroen and other sponsors. (This part of the program can be delayed to after the kids event, if needed. Depending on our time crossing the border)

Xmas Elfs and Pyjamas party night for the kids at the Good Mercy Samaritan Children's Home

Kids' Chore to perform two songs, one in the Ukrainian language
Head Elf Alex Davern is to greet the kids, and everyone present
Handing out gifts
Pajama Party and movie night (Xmas movie to be screened for the kids. As they are getting pajamas among other things, they are asked to come back for the movie, wearing their newly received comfy sets.

10.00 AM - Meeting with Mr Volodimir Beyresh, the Director of the Hospital
Starting at Mukachevo Children’s hospital, meet Mr Volodimir Beyresh (Director), and the governor, to walk through this possible project for next year. As a reminder, the budget we are looking at for that project is likely approximately 500,000 Euros for the building cost, and 200.000 Euros for furniture and equipment. Total of 700.000 EUR
Photos from our visit in November 2024, to talk about where we can help. This is when we were introduced to the potential project of creating a new rehabilitation wing for children. Especially with kids arriving from the war zones, needing long-term recovery, this project would have a massive benefit to the whole of Ukraine.

14.00 - 15.00 Berehove Regional Hospital
Visiting the rehabilitation wing. We were very much hoped to be able to open this rehabilitation wing in December 2025, but there is a delay. We would like to understand what is causing it, and when we can finally see our donated items used by the staff and people needing help. On our part, we have delivered all the requested items in August - September this year, and installed them at the venue. We are hoping the Regional Administration will join us, to look at the venue and hearmore about the plans for opening.
15.30 - 17.00 Maltese Charity Services , Berehove
Visit to the Early Intervention Center of the Maltese Charity Services.
Direct Aid has raised funds to upgrade the facility, aiming to heal children from a very young age. Work included painting the walls, adding new wooden paneling, new light fixtures, and major sorting, clearing, and organizing. We have come up with the interior design plans for the space (Reception, Waiting area, Children's Corner, Action Room, Individual therapy room) involving the entire training and management. Once it was agreed upon, we completed the shopping for the needed furniture and tools and organized the transport from Hungary to Ukraine
This meeting is about:
- Introducing the project (potential) to the Maltese Charity Service, with the aim to looking at a partnership.
-Learning more about the reporting process the Maltese charity has in place, for documenting a project, using the "young boys wing at the children's home of Nagydobrony" as an example.
- Looking at the good practice the Maltese charity has in place, for rehabilitation and helping children at the early intervention center.
- We asked the director of the Regional Children's Hospital (Munkachevo) to join this meeting. Mr Volodimir Beyresh has agreed to be present.

Day with the Rehabilitation units (Tyachiv, Rakhiv cities)
Our recent fundraising aims to help injured soldiers and those professionals working with them. Such service is very much needed, as thousands of men return with serious effects of the war. Helping them to regain their strength, their ability to walk, or to speak is what we are trying to do.
Thiachiv District Hospital and Rakhiv District Clinics are two of the 8 cities of Zakarpattia, asking for our help to create a similar rehabilitation unit, as we have already helped in Uzzhorod. This short visit is about finding out more about their progress finishing these new units.

The local team did a great job, completing the renovations. We have received their shopping list, in the process of sourcing, buying, and installing the items. We thought it would be worth visiting the clinic and meeting the local leaders, as it’s our furthest away clinic project and very near Thiachiv city. We will be back in the Spring to do an opening event.

14.30 AM - 15.00 - welcome to the main hospital building by Dr Fedir Yarynych, (Director) visiting the INPATIENT rehabilitation ward, to understand better how the unit works. Meeting the head of the rehabilitation department and the local team of doctors, therapists.
15.00 AM - 15.30 AM - visiting the newly created OUTPATIENT building, which we have agreed to help with a list of equipment. We understand this is a massive building project for the local community, and there have been some delays in finishing the project. From our side, all the requested equipment has been delivered, and we hope to see plans and a timescale for when they will be fully ready to open for patients.
3.30 PM Travel back to Budapest
