TV21 OUR MEDIA PARTNER IN UKRAINE
We have huge respect for people who agreed to work with us . We hope this list is to grow even further the next coiple of weeks, ensuring that all aid we send will get directly to where it needed the most. This would not be possible without our partners in Ukraine.
2024.10.01 The difference between the minibuses in the footage is no less than sixty years. The older one has been serving the Nagyszőlős Home for Young People Struggling with Mental Illnesses for almost 40 years. They received the new one the other day in order to be able to transport their dependents to various programs and treatments in dignified conditions. The renovation is thanks to the Net of Hope team, who previously renovated an entire wing of the institute. Mentally ill persons evacuated from war regions were placed in several institutions in Transcarpathia, including Nagyszőlősi. 142 patients are currently being cared for in Nyagszőlősi. Although the patients treated at the institute are in a very difficult medical condition, they thanked the donors for their help with an impromptu concert.
2024 10.01 Supporters of Direct Aid for Ukraine continued their journey in Nagyszőlős to personally hand over their support to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The initiatives led by Zsuzsa Bozó and Alex Davern have already implemented several projects in Transcarpathia in the past. In addition to supporting programs aimed at young people, they give priority to supporting the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In the past few days, for example, 6 renovated all-terrain vehicles and various supplies were handed over to the army. Irish-born, Texas-based businessman Alex Davern sees many parallels between Ukraine's current situation and Ireland's past, which is why he saw it as important to directly support the Ukrainian Armed Forces and encourage his colleagues to do the same. At the request of the donors, the equipment was taken over by the beneficiary military units, including the 101st, 3rd, 160th, 5th and 128th brigades. In Nagyszőlős, the humanitarian center led by Ludmilla Szvoreny was the connection point between the supporters and the armed forces. In addition to regularly supporting the soldiers, special emphasis was placed on supporting the settlers coming to the vineyard area. This support also includes the boxing and dance studio run by the Szvoreny couple, where they work for free with young people from the east. Since most of the couple's time is occupied by humanitarian work, their studio is currently run by their son Volodymyr. The people of Nagyszőlős regularly help in the implementation and planning of humanitarian programs. The donors emphasized that they will continue the work so that they can continue to help the Ukrainian armed forces in the future.
2024 01 22. Last week, the international group supporting the Direct Aid for Ukraine initiative visited our region so that they could personally hand over their donations to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In the past period, many projects have already been realized thanks to the initiative linked to the names of Zsuzsa Bozó and Alex Davern. Thanks to the group, the Csongori kindergarten has been completely renovated in recent weeks, but several institutions have been renovated before, including in Nagyszőlős. Here, they previously supported an institute for young people with disabilities, as well as a humanitarian foam. The three well-equipped all-terrain vehicles were handed over at the base of the latter, which were taken over by the national guards of three different military units. In addition to the vehicles, the donors handed over drones, night vision cameras and other technical equipment, as well as food packages to the soldiers. This is how they showed their respect for their resistance to Russian aggression. Among the members of the group were Irish, American, French and Hungarian volunteers. Irish-born Texas businessman Alex Davern said that he sees many parallels between Ukraine's current situation and Ireland's past, which is why he felt it was important to directly support the Ukrainian Armed Forces and to encourage his colleagues to do the same. At the request of the donors, the equipment was taken over directly by the units using the equipment, whose leaders emphasized that these grants are very important, as they also contribute to being able to keep their jobs and protect the country. The Nagyszőlős humanitarian center led by Ljudmilla Szvoreny was established after the outbreak of the war. Since then, they have been continuously supporting those fighting on the front line, as they essentially bring in the donations that are collected locally on a bi-weekly basis. The name of Zsuzsa Bozó and her friends is already familiar to the viewers of TV21 Ungvár, as they have previously implemented several different projects in our region. The donors emphasized that they want to continue the joint work, and that they will return to Transcarpathia again in the future to support the armed forces, as well as perhaps those most in need of support - children.
2024.10.04 Yesterday, the Direct Aid for Ukraine team visited Harangláb to assemble the furniture they bought for the Reformed youth and community center together with local volunteers. It was important for the team to personally hand over the tools they had acquired to the beneficiaries, as they could establish a direct relationship with them. In 2022, after the outbreak of the war, the Reformed congregation began the construction of the youth community center, which, in addition to entertaining young people, can also perform disaster prevention tasks thanks to its design. Taking possession of the community center as intended is an important step for the congregation, as neither the settlement nor the surrounding villages had a similar space where young people could gather. During the day, the work was intense, as the young people already arrived at 2 pm to spend their first joint event here. In addition to the church, many organizations were involved in the development of the community center. The same is true for the transport of equipment to Transcarpathia, since the Maltese Charity Service undertook the transport, while the Association of Transcarpathian Border Self-Governments undertook the coordination. We are two and a half here in Transcarpathia. In addition to supporting communities and children, one of these community days fills us up and encourages us to continue, emphasized Zsuzsa Bozó, who was a volunteer coordinator between the international supporters and the Haranglab community. The community space was designed so that even the youngest can use it. There is a separate baby-mom corner for the little ones, and for the older ones there is also an almost 2-meter-wide TV suitable for watching movies. The many busy hands quickly put together the furniture, which was immediately taken possession of by the elders and young people of the Harangláb Reformed Church
2024.09.30 In the current situation, many institutions in the country need the help of external, in most cases, international supporters. Thanks to such international civil support, the Misi Mókus kindergarten in Csongór was previously renovated, which was helped by the support group that runs the Direct Aid for Ukraine and Net Of Hope programs. The benefactors have now returned to Subcarpathia again to see the implementation of new programs, but of course they also visited the settlement belonging to the Nagydobronyi subregion to see what impact their support had on the community. The projects associated with the names of Zsuzsa Bozó, an activist from Budapest, and Alex Davern, a businessman from Texas, are truly extensive. In the next few days, they will visit several locations where a project supporting the Ukrainian Armed Forces and young people is taking place. Over the past two and a half years, Zsuzsa Bozó and her friends have already implemented nearly a dozen projects involving young people in Transcarpathia, which included playgrounds, canteen renovations, but also complete institutional equipment, such as the Institute for Young People Fighting Mental Illnesses in Nagyszőlős or the Csongori ovi The first week of October will be busy for the support group, as it will include the delivery of vehicles and drones to the armed forces, as well as the furnishing of a community center and the support of several hospitals.
